WE HAVE A SOLUTION!

 

So recently, I made a post on my social media pages, emphasizing on the fact that everyone is needed. We all really need to debunk the idea that only those in one position of authority or the other has the “right” or privilege to make impact and give solutions to problems in the society. Now, when I say society, it includes our family members, friends and so on. When we begin to see making impact and delivering value as something that has to do with even our immediate environment, we would be triggered to start from where we are even as we think big and aim for bigger platforms.

You might have been told several times, that you were not born without a gift or perhaps, this is your first time of being told that. Well, this is to inform and to remind you, as the case may be, that God has invested so much in you, and you cannot afford not to make use of what has been embedded in you.

Now, let’s think about this together. Is it the fact that a farmer has the farming tools that makes him or her a farmer? Is it because an individual has a boat or a fishing net that makes the person a fisherman or a fisherwoman? Absolutely not! It is the result or outcome of the utilisation of the tools that they possess that makes them who they are. So, it is not the gifts you carry inside of you that matters but, how you use them and the value that you deliver and bring to the table.

No one is called talented or gifted because they have a gift, they are described as talented or gifted because they make use of it and they add value to their society. Before you would be called a talented singer, artist, drummer, and so on, you must have expressed that gift and it must have added value in whatsoever way to those around you. Discovering or knowing that you have a gift is not enough but, you must begin to add value in whatever way you can. I want you to believe that for every problem, there is a solution. And, guess what? You carry a solution to someone’s problem inside of you.

You must begin to see yourself as a solution to your generation. When you come to the full realization of this, your mind-set towards the society you live in, your family, your country would change. You would be able to affirm that you are needed. You have a role to play! Do not always wait and rely on others to think for you and provide solutions always, start to think.

 In case you do not know, there is something you have that someone, somewhere does not have. And, there is something you know that someone, somewhere does not know. What is stopping you from adding value? The world would be a better place if everyone would stop hoarding the solutions they carry.

It is important for you to know that you do not have to wait till you have a big platform or assume a very high post in life, for you to start adding value. Start where you are! You are currently living amongst humans, when the big platform comes, you will still relate with humans. So, what is stopping you from starting now?

The gifts that have been embedded within us, are seeds that when they are well nurtured, can showcase us. But, even when opportunities come our way, they can only be identified and fully maximized if it meets our preparation and a positive mind-set. Treasures have been deposited in you, it is your duty to take responsibility and make good use of them.
