PROGRESS OR PERFECTION?
"BECOMING who you ought to be can be really challenging but, the process of BECOMING makes you a stronger and better person when you attain the height you've always aimed at".

Sometimes, we lock up and sit down to assess ourselves. In the end, we leave the room feeling unproductive, dejected, less-capable.
There is always this unending struggle and battle between progress and perfection. If this battle is not properly dealt with, we would remain on a spot and find it so hard to move on.
Progression is the act of moving from one point to another, in a proceeding course. When you are progressing, you are not just moving but there's something to show for your movement. Your goals are achieved, lessons are learnt, mistakes are made and learnt from. And there is a difference between your last step and your present one.
Is it possible to be perfect? How can we be perfect? Is anyone actually perfect? All these questions run through our minds as we go on with our daily activities.
Instead of being stuck with solving the above puzzles, we should know if we are working towards making progress or we are being concerned about perfection. Another thing is that we should assess the reason why we want to be perfect or make progress.
Do you want to feel better and stronger than others? Do you want to be famous? Are you trying to cover up for some insecurities? These are few out the many reasons why you are so concerned about perfection instead of making progress.
Is it wrong to be perfect? No, it isn't. But, as you continue to journey in life, you'll discover that the place of perfection is not something you get to, but a place you work towards. And the process of working towards that place is progression.
Measuring your level of perfection escalates your weaknesses and insecurities while, measuring your level of progress gives you the hope of doing better if certain things or factors are adjusted and makes you feel stronger. Your aim should not be working towards being perfect but, making sure that you do not remain on a spot, you do not repeat the last mistake you made. You should be concerned about moving on and forward.
The popular phrase, no one is perfect however, isn't a medium of supporting irresponsibility, mediocrity and complacency. It only shows that you might not be able to achieve 100 but, you can take positive steps and make conscious efforts each day to move closer to 100.
You cannot attain the level of perfection but you can make progress. Don't lay down in complacency with the mindset of you can't be perfect. Take a step! Make sure you're moving.
At some point in our lives we tend to compare our lives and achievements with that of others. But, we compare our beginnings with the middle of others. When you begin to compare, you'll feel pressured into jumping the steps of progression and you'll end up falling.
The process can be challenging and sometimes seem slow but trust me, you would not regret passing through it. Those challenges are there to prove how surreal and tenacious you are. They are there to build you up for the next big step.
Where there points in your life when you felt pressured to jump the steps of progress? Have you at any point compared yourself to someone? How did you grow past the stage? I'll like to know in the comment section, let's learn from each other!
Before I leave, let me remind you that you are STRONG and, you have the CAPACITY to make progress.
Ps: let the above work of art remind you of how beautiful you are and that, you were created to blossom.
